You may be wondering, what happened with our efforts to eliminate the sales tax on landscape architectural services in the District? After many years of dedicated advocacy, lobbying, and the generous support of our Members, a bill was signed into law in 2025. However, that law was unfunded, meaning it was not included in the budget and therefore is not yet active.
Please join us by zoom Thursday April 16th from 12-1pm for a critical update on our efforts to achieve this milestone for landscape architects in the District of Columbia.

We will hold our Annual Awards and Gala on May 7, 2026 at the MLK Library in DC. Featured Speaker: Jack Browand, Deputy Director of Park Services, City of Alexandria Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities We are pleased to announce that Elliot Rhodeside, FASLA, will be honored with the 2026 POASLA Lifetime Achievement Award.
