The Potomac Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects supports over 400 members and friends throughout the Washington metropolitan area who are dedicated to improving the quality of the built and natural environment. On behalf of the Chapter, we are pleased to offer you an opportunity to participate in our Sponsorship Program.
Several levels of sponsorship are available to promote your business or organization to our members. The Potomac Chapter provides electronic communications, educational sessions, recognition programs, networking events, and community service opportunities.
Whether virtual or in person in 2023, programs include:
Awards Program and Gala:
Our Awards Gala remains our signature event and sponsorship of the Gala is again an option ($4000). Our 2022 in-person Awards Gala, held outside at River Farm, was very well received and we plan to hold our Gala in person again in 2023. In 2022 nearly 130 people attended our Gala.
We will again exhibit our award-winning projects at AIA DC’s District Architecture Center (DAC). If we are not able to hold our exhibition in person for 2-3 months this summer, we will hold it online, as we did the past three years. Exhibiting boards of award-winning projects in their gallery with large windows on 7th Street has been an extremely successful way for us to increase the visibility of the profession, especially to architects and the public, since the gallery is also open to the public. The 2020 online exhibition is still accessible, which means it has been online for more than 2 years! You can view it here.
World Landscape Architecture Month Events:
Every April the Chapter hosts an exciting educational opportunity for the membership. Past events have been walking tours and educational conferences.
Office Networking & Presentation Series:
Monthly meetings to visit member firms and learn about current projects, followed by networking time.
Periodic lectures and educational opportunities throughout the year provide learning and networking opportunities for our members and sponsors; plus professional continuing education (CE) sessions several times each year.
Website and Emails:
The website serves as a resource for members, partners, prospective employers, and job seekers. The Chapter posts job and volunteer opportunities, member resources, program news, member recognition, award-winning work, and announcements. In addition, the Chapter communicates upcoming programs and opportunities via email on a regular basis.
