‘A Writer’s Retreat’ by Campion Hruby Landscape Architects has been awarded a 2018 Merit Award in Built Design. A functional pool and entertaining space on a narrow lot between a home addition and a detached guesthouse renovation required creative thinking! Designed to mirror the glass facade of the home addition, the long lap pool allows the owners to celebrate their love of swimming, while the custom “paper clip” ladder was designed as art and a nod to the writer in the family.
